First responders are knowingly putting their own health and safety at risk in the interest of helping others. I do not begrudge them getting special deals *at all*. People are getting stimulus checks and I am not— instead of being upset by that, I am thankful I have a good paying job. People are getting an extra $600/week in unemployment benefits right now and some are taking in more money unemployed than they earned while working— instead of being upset by that, I am thankful that I am still employed. Some people are getting free food from food banks right now— instead of being upset by that, I am thankful I can still afford to feed my family, and I have donated to my city's fund that feeds into local food banks and social services. Perhaps you might consider being thankful that you are able to stay safe at home instead of having to go out because you are an essential worker in a job that requires your physical presence. I am thankful every day that I am able to safely work from home and out of harm's way. A positive outlook can really go a long way these days— stay safe, and be thankful my friend. :-)
Sorry if I misread your comment, it's really hard to tell one way or the other if something is sarcastic or a joke in a setting like this. I hope you don't take my reply as a personal attack or anything. I just wanted to comment because a spirit of gratitude and "we're all in this together" has helped us out quite a bit during recent times. When I first heard about the stimulus in its original form ($2000 for every taxpayer) I was looking forward to receiving mine. My expenses have increased a lot because of coronavirus between ordering grocery delivery and making weekly trips to supply my elderly dad who is 2 1/2 hours away, to having to buy office equipment for my wife and I to work from home, to helping out my sister who is a now-unemployed lounge singer. My wife's side-gig (private speech therapy) has also completely dried up, and finances have gotten pretty tight. I have to admit I was a little salty when I first heard I wasn't going to get a stimulus check, so I do identify with you on that feeling of missing out, even though your comment was sarcastic.

I checked Costco, but it's hard to compare the two as Costco sells bundles with blender and accessories. I checked Amazon and they were about the same. The Ascent a3500 series I ordered was $110 less through Vitamix with the 20% discount than on Amazon.

It seems like the majority come with the low profile container. Here's their new series, all with the low profile pitcher https://www.vitamix.com/us/en_us/...m-blenders
"To redeem, copy and paste the code at checkout. The discount can only be applied to one new blender per customer; reconditioned units are not included."
I had hoped reconditioned would be included. Oh well. Still a great discount and kind gesture.
Email them and explain your situation and I would be surprised if they didn't send you a code.
