FYI this toy really only picks up on carpet. Sits low to the ground so it's good for younger ones too.
Do you know if the wheels turn on hardwood or if it just glides along? I have a hard time finding things like this where the wheels turn freely without needing some friction, like some carpet underneath. The pictures show it on hardwood, but... I'm taking that with a grain of salt.
As a parent, I really suggest you not get stuff like this for other kids. Big plastic junk is the worst kind of gift to receive. It takes up space, isn't played with, and breaks quickly.

Well, during lockdown, I would get whatever toys to keep him entertained in the apartment, so ordered for pickup today. Better then TV

I think dukeblue was saying not to get this kind of stuff for other people's kids, which is totally fair. Big plastic stuff and noisy toys are the worst. if you you buy it for your own kids you can control the mess /noise but when you get them as gifts they add up.

Yeah, you may be right. Out Friends told us that their son loves music instruments. So we bought him some set from Amazon. They are not requiring gifts from us anymore

I just tried it on my kitchen floor and it works, but it doesn't pick up toys as well as it does on carpet. It doesn't just glide along, though.
