Buying a nice desk chair (Steelcase Leap v2 in my case) is one of the best investments you can make...think about it, some of us spend 8+ hrs a day in our chair. It's equivalent to buying a nice mattress instead of a thin sheet of foam.
I always wonder about comments like this...do you only eat 99 cent McDonalds cheeseburgers when you go out to eat? Or do you sometimes like to eat something better?
At what point should you just pay the extra $150 and get a used Aeron though? If I'm going to spend $300 on this chair I might as well pay $450 and get a refurbished Aeron right? Or is this one really comparable?

A desk chair for $300 is considered a deal? Yikes...

looks like a good deal on a very well reviewed chair but i want a headrest too.... my current mesh chair has it and i use it... interesting.... may have to try it out anyway... i had this mesh chair for 3 years already also purchased at office depot at $130. a great office chair is a very good investment... as previously mentioned... you may spend 7-8 hours in a day on it...

Both chairs don't have headrests, thats the deal breaker

there's a whole world of premium chairs out there. but more seriously, I see it as an investment where I'm saving myself from future back pains as well as potential medical costs. same reason as investing in a good mattress, good shoes (if you stand/walk/run a lot), etc etc. if you don't see the value now, you will later.
