Get why health care workers get discounts but it should be offered to other people who are Frontline workers i only see a couple that apply. I mean doctors make good money already. 🤦
This is such bias, stereotype and bs. Yeah, after working 80 hr weeks.... Residents make an average of 12/hr. Factor in their 400-500k student loan debt, thousands of hours training before seeing a penny, how much do the actually make?

Healthcare worker means not just hospitals Doctors , nurses, don't forget to add cNAs . Question why the CNAs always left out ?. They are the frontline worker too.Hospital and nursing would not run without the CNAs they are the backbone staff. Some of these frontline worker work in nursing home and different facilities. Angry 😔

In a few months, this hero worship will be viewed for the idiocy that it is. Very well paid "first responders" get perks, while the underpaid, overworked agricultural workers are forgotten.

This corporate marketing campaign is purely self-serving. A "feel good" measure for everyone..."see how cool we are, buy more from us!"

Looks like you priortize condoms over FRONTLINE essential workers critical to keeping society functioning, making sure that every one of us is safe, healthy, and has access to all of the resources we need.
Neither "first responders" nor we "lesser" folks eat without the agricultural workers getting paid crap and working in crap conditions right now. We shall see soon just who is REALLY essential to keeping society functioning.

We're all essential. There's no "lesser". We all need each other (except for thieves and criminals. We could do without them lol)

I think It's just that right now, being a healthcare workers is really tough. You don't have the option to social distance yourself. You're in a field where all you see is sick people, which is the job and why you get up every morning. But now, every patient is a potential covid patient. This novel, unpredictable virus. You may constantly fear getting sick and most importantly, you fear getting your loved ones sick. You see a patient, then later you find he/she tested positive, and you try to replay the entire interaction in your head. Were you careful enough? Then you stress over every headache and tiny cough. On top of that, you're having to reuse your possibly contaminated protective gear, that's meant to be disposable..
I think that's why some people are expressing gratitude during this time.
However, we should express gratitude towards one another regardless of the situation.

I love the discounts, but I'd love it even more if there was something these companies could do to teach common sense. I'm not complaining as this is what I signed up for but I hate going home every night to my wife and kid worrying about bringing something home with me right now. Let's beat this with good sense and being good to one another. Also in case anyone is wondering Yeti doesn't give the discount to doctors. Just first responders, nurses, and govt employees, but let's be real the nurses should be getting everything for the biggest discounts possible. Without them I think we would all be in big big trouble. A huge thank you to all you nurses!

ER doc here. It's absolute bullshit that ALL frontline workers don't get these discounts. I appreciate the gesture but I'm not living paycheck to paycheck while the other frontline workers may be and would probably benefit more from the discounts than me.

I always feel foolish asking for discounts, I actually try not stopping at places on the way home while in uniform. But thank you for posting all of this!
Same! I'm just thankful to still have a job when so many others are unemployed.

This is all really nice. As a person who works in the healthcare industry, some of these companies fail to acknowledge other types of employees who are also working in these high risk enviornments. Front line IT staff who make it a priority to ensure that all tech is working for clinical staff to do their job. Environmental servicers that properly disinfect or clean rooms, linen, etc. Oncology staff who are probably working 5 times as hard to try and ensure that immunocompromised patients stay healthy. Grocery workers, working in stores that can easily become petri dishes...the list goes on, so thank you to everyone.

Samsung and Google are offering FREE repairs (including replacing cracked screens!) for their phones (Pixels for Google) to front line workers. I'll try to dig up the links, but bear with me. I'm on mobile and at the mercy of SD's wonky search.
My note 8 can use a new charging port and screen, please let us know.
