As pointed out here in the last thread, the one you got for $10 is not the same model as this one. It was smaller with different treads and had less foam at the top. Maybe those differences matter to you, maybe they don't, but they are not the same step stools.

This one ☝️. It cost more but its also super light in comparison. I have both, I look for the lighter one all the time.

I bought one of these during the holiday season when they were a bit less. Good quality, yes. Lightweight, no.

This stool resides in my closet so I can get to the high shelves there so the weight is not a problem. But if you are looking for something to carry around the house when needed, pay a few more bucks and get an aluminum model.
