$900 for a crop sensor DSLR with no in body stabilization, no 4k in 2020? People still pay that much? The Sony a6000 ran all over this and you can get that under $400. The new sony a6000 makes this dog meat for way less.

80d is a fine camera (i owned the 70d) but anything over $700 is too much for a body/lens combo of this age.

Agreed, I like the 80D but it's an old camera with old tech, way overpriced for what it is. I mean you can get an EOS RP body for $800 these days. Like you said the smaller Sony bodies run circles around this camera, it should be a lot cheaper than they are selling it for.

Where exactly did you get an a6600 for 400? Are you dreaming, care to share?

I bought my 80D brand new just 5 months after release at this price, so yes, this is not a good deal considering it's age.

Oh damn sorry, mistyped. A6000. I got an A6600 for $993.

For anyone doubting image quality of a6000 vs 80d

I would not recommend getting the a6000 due to it's age. It is inferior to the 80d in other ways, the a6100 is really good for it's price now.

I have a Sony a7iii and love that camera, but that article is not very scientific at all. Maybe the Sony is that much sharper, but there are way too many variables involved there to make any conclusions.

Again, I love Sony's, but I also don't like BS either and that article was mostly BS.
