You can buy all of Affinity's software products for 50% off ($25) from their website or from the Apple App Store.
It might be advantageous to buy from Affinity directly as they state you can install it on any number of computer (not cross-platform, though) as you own. The App Store can only download the purchased app on a computer using the same store account.
The "sale" price has been extended and is good until 5/20/20.
They also have a 90-day trial for all their software, also, direct from their website.
For those that don't know Serif or the Affinity platform, this is amazing publishing software for the money. They don't supply any of the templates that they used to on PagePlus, but this is far preferable to paying $100/Month for the Adobe suite. $25 one-time, forever; It'll be years until they offer something new that is so much better that you'll pay again for the same software. Also, there are plenty of 3rd party font and brush packs available on their website if you feel you MUST upgrade a little.

Have they improved their DAM capabilities though?
Until they can do that, Lightroom is still irreplaceable for many.

They don't have an app for asset management. I'd just switched to On1 Photo Raw 2020. Main thing is because I run MacOS and Windows, and On1 allows me to to work on cross platforms for the same catalog.
Lightroom cannot do this.
I bought Affinity Designer and Photo via their homepage. Do note that you can't use the Windows license version of their software on Mac and vice versa.

I don't know. I understand the need for Lightroom (got a kid in art school that has to take 2 graphics classes!) and bought it for both of us and in her case, she uses the school 'puters with the free Adobe and brings her work home in Adobe format, loads it into Affinity and keeps on trucking. Saves me a monthly Adobe bill. I was still happily using PagePlus 6 (2012) until the last computer change and I can't d/l any version under PP7 from the Serif legacy page. So they get another $25 after 8 years....
I own both Affinity Photo and Publisher. Very highly recommend. Does take a little bit of time to learn how to do the things you do in Adobe in Affinity but once you learn it's very good software. Only major difference I know of is that Affinity does not have a timeline so no animated gifs here. Hopefully one day they can add that feature.
I picked up the luminar 3 for free a few weeks back from slickdeals. Is this better Even though it's priced?
Got my answer there to close to pay for affinity. I'm seriously a rook when it comes to editing and only going off what I looked up. Just looking at really basic stuff.

If it's for both, this is a great deal.
