If you aren't desperate, it seems like it would be worth waiting 6/9 months for WiFi 6E. https://apple.news/A5mxSYqf_RkGaCONOH-G7SA

This or the TP-Link router Archer C4000? Which one is better? I have about 10 devices in my household including iOT that access internet. Need high-speed stable WiFi connection. Parental controls is not a priority.

Saw this at South airport San Francisco Costco yesterday. Can't recall the price even though I think it was on sale. At 9 a.m. on Monday there was zero line to get in the warehouse and the place was fairly empty which made for some great social distancing. Needed to buy some meat for the freezer before everything went out of stock!

But then you also need client devices to support that as well; it's not just the router.

Why would you go to the store right now? If it's available online stay home. Jesus. This isn't that complicated.
They had a whole bunch at the store I was at when I was out over the weekend. If the store is close why not go?

I wouldn't make a trip just for it but could do so as part of Costco grocery/liquor run. Smilie

You should get better performance with WiFi 6 clients but really depends on individual client locations.

I tested this a couple of months back and it was fast with direct line of sight but it performed worst than a 3 year old router (Netgear R7000) even with WiFi 6 clients when I situate my client 25-30 feet away with two walls between router and client.
That sounds disappointing. Do you recommend waiting for newer routers?

I saw the box it has 2 5Ghz and of course single 2.4

But i went for TP link deco M9 plus. 3 mesh for $199. Got rich feature vs Netgear
