A8 is better. Direct heating vs tank on this one. The nozzle is better too. But I do have the 6800 as well and it's going strong for 3 years now. I had an issue with one of them and it was just out of warranty. But the company fixed it with no questions asked. The only issue is that you need to ship it or drop off locally. They ship it back free. It was easy for me as I could drop it off locally. I would suggest to drain the tank once every year. It does help.
Got the 6800U deal earlier this year and then the A8 deal more recently. Having both models, I prefer the 6800U. I know the A8 has the in-line water heater but I get inconsistent water temps so I don't see the benefit. Also the range of the wand on the A8 is not as good as the 6800. I have to scoot to get the aim right on the A8, not on the 6800. Also the water pressure seems a little stronger on the 6800. That being said, I'm returning the A8 and am getting another 6800U.
We bought a round version and I really wish I would have just bit the bullet and replaced our bowl with an elongated one. The bidet takes up an extra bit of space at the back, leaving men with less room up at the front of the bowl.

this is for elongated toilets and round toilets, fyi

i really want to ugrade to an electronic bidet... most reviews for the ones that go on rounded toilets say that they are really uncomfortable due to the raised rear portion of the seat. would love to hear people's thoughts on that.

The 1st review on Amazon says the dryer feature is underpowered and useless, which is a necessity.
