chatted with ATT, they asked a few things -
does the ship-address match the bill-address
does the credit-card name/address match the account-holder-name/address

they suggested to goto store to verify identity

I will try to place another order and see if it works, else port out to h2o. not worth the hassle to goto store.

Ok, then it makes sense to try again. Before that, try to reach out to them and understand the reason for cancellation. One thing they focused on was that the account address, shipping address and credit card address should be same. Also, if your Sprint number was no credit check, the SSN for port-in doesn't matter.
they couldn't tell the reason of cancellation. they asked me to goto store to verify identity.
for port-in info, you have to type in -

account-holder name (defaults to att account name)
account-holder address (defaults to att account address)
account-type (consumer/business)
current carrier
account-holder ssn
account-number
pin

Yes, but don't think they use account-holder ssn for anything so even a default would work. Do check the 'credit check' status while placing order again, if you see 'it hit a snag but go ahead', the probability of order going through would be very less.

so tried to place order again.
this time credit check says - "We were unable to check your credit. Go ahead and place your order today. If we hit a snag, we'll contact you."
likely they flagged the ssn?

Yes, very less chance of order going through now without visiting a store and getting your review completed. Maybe you can try one more time. Don't try a few more times, they will also flag the amount of orders automatically cancelled and then it will be even more challenging to get those flags removed.

Does anyone know how to get their account number? I tried registering for an account after my SIM cards arrived. Activated my phones, but I cant get past registration since there isnt any paperwork regarding my account. Cant get past registration without it
After activating your SIMs, you should receive an email titled "Take action now to get access to your new service". In it, there's a blue box "Finish Registration". Click on it and it'll take you to a site to create your online account. It'll pre-select your email address as the login ID (you can't change it), all you have to do is choosing your password and maybe some security questions. Once you've logged in, click on Profile and you'll see your account number.

It'll tell you to set your Access Code, but you can't do it until your account is 2-3 days old.

Thanks, just wanted to make sure I wasn't skipping a vital step.
I realized you had been discussing the ATT port-in process with justdoit007, not the port-out to h2o.
I got impatient with h2o and ended up porting in my main line to them a few days ago, as they were still non-responsive to 10 days of simply trying to get line #3 ported in to them.

Line #3 was the only line to show this error when trying to port from ATT into h2o.
H2O kept giving me the runaround for 10 days, but when I talked to porting dept of ATT they had no issue with that number being ported out.
Did you resolve that error on the H2O website for number transfer? I'm also seeing the same error when I type my ATT number for transfer.

Call the e-commerce back door and have them add promo code 6320019 eligible for in-store BYOD order on the account number of cancelled order. The order was cancelled as they could not verify your identification. They will tell you to visit nearest store. They will also tell you the account number. Note it down.

Visit att store and verify your ID. That's the code for the store reps should apply for in store order. It's is important to use account number of cancelled order .

YMMV

AT&T taxes & fees are high, around $20/month for 2 lines. Your monthly bill will be around $100.
So the end profit #200 after 3 months for 2 lines.

Never resolved, to put it mildly. Since Day 1 of the problem/error message, day after day, I ended up giving all my porting info to each rep, as they seem to have 'lost' the initial trouble ticket. I gave them the ticket number!

For 10 days, every day I'd have to explain from the beginning and each rep always asked for a callback number "in case we get disconnected". Every call got disconnected, yet not a single rep called me back, nor ever gave me any explanation. Then when I called they'd immediately hang up.
I ended up sending an email via their website over a week ago, but that also went unanswered (even tho I got immediate confirmation they received it).
H2O is the absolute worst 'customer service' I've ever run across, in decades. Period.

If you contact AT&T Reward Center about 35-40 days after activation to request the GCs, you should receive them about 10-12 days later. That will give you enough time to cancel the account before the 3rd month of service begins. I did that with my accts #1 and #2. See attachments.

Do we have to contact reward center to claim the gift cards? I thought i'll receive email when it's time to redeem. Is it better to call or chat with them?

You have to contact Reward Center. So far nobody in this thread had received that email no matter how long they waited. Use Chat, which is only shown as an option from 7am to 7pm Central M-F.
