Hey guys, my parents have 2 lines on the cheapest 3GB plan. The first bill is $208. It seems they've charged this for service since June 26 up to August 25. Is this higher than it should be? And would there be another bill or would the $250 be sent before that?

I successfully ported 6 numbers from my AT&T accounts and 3 numbers from my Sprint accounts to H2O.

- I used the "yellow" (not black) H2O SIMs bought at Best Buy for $1 each.
- I went to this site: https://www.h2owirelessnow.com/transfer and entered the phone number to be ported and just fill out info on the screens.
- After entering the H2O SIM number, the screen refreshed and showed the choices for time plans. I selected the one shown in the screen below, and left the box for PIN blank. Filled in the email address and call back number, then clicked SUBMIT. That's it.

All of my AT&T numbers were Boost phone numbers, bought on Ebay. My Sprint phone numbers came various sources (Visible, FreeUp).
When you cancel your AT&T lines, did they give you prorated credit back?

Yes. Last week I received a $38 debit card for my acct #1 with 4 lines, cancelled about a week before the billing period ended. My acct #2 with 2 lines was cancelled 10 days before billing period ended and it shows a $32 credit. Probably will get a debit card for that in a few weeks.

Need advice. If I apply for 1 line first (my 2 line orders keep on getting cancelled) and add a 2nd new line say a week later will I be able to get the gc and cb on the 2nd line too since it is new?

You'll get a GC for your 2nd line, but there's no advantage by ordering 1 line first. The chance of getting an order cancelled is the same whether it has 1 line or 2 lines. Further more, even if you have one line established, the chance of the 2nd line being cancelled is just the same.

I think BF cash back is $50 per line, and estimated payable date is after 3 months. But even so, look at my post #2840 above to see how much profit you can expect to net, if you're doing this deal purely for the profit and not the phone service.
Thank you, I wonder why they keep the terms confusing, is it to squirm out with some excuse? TCB is notorious for that (they have a condition that the cash back can go up or down).

Thanks for the information. Your first sentence was affirming and I'll see if it will go through this way. Your second sentence put a bit of a damper on my hopes Frown

I didn't mean to dampen your spirit, I was just stating the facts learned from posts in this thread. Some people here got one line established, but their order for the 2nd line still got cancelled. So they ended up with a half-baked deal, with significantly less profit but still takes as much work to get the GC. It's better to go all-in or none at all.

I didn't mean it negatively. You lifted my spirits enough to spur me to give it another try after getting your reply Smilie Now waiting to see if they send me a cancellation email that I'd been getting after 4 tries. (admittedly those tries were about 6 weeks ago). This is the first time I'm just going for 1 line so as to hopefully reduce the probability of entering some numbers wrong.

I don't understand how AT&T gets away with charging more for taxes than other carriers do. The fees can vary from one carrier to another depending on how they want to pad their pockets, but taxes should be the same percentage for all carriers for the same billing address.
You think AT&T charges too much for taxes? Try Credo Mobile, a VZW MVNO, that still charges over 30% in taxes and fees!

Credo Mobile has a "Progressive" Political Agenda. Perhaps some of their taxes and fees are to support their pet organizations. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CREDO_Mobile

I made the mistake of providing my email address to check their rates and promotions. Soon I got bombarded with their political stuff. I unsubscribed and blocked their email.

Apologies if this has been asked before. Thread is really long. I just received the AT&T sim card. How long do I have before activating the AT&T sim? I still have half month on my current prepaid.

AT&T is so screwed up and I decided to give up after spending 5 hours to get out numbers from VZW transferred. I had multiple issues:

1. First one of my number was under a friend's account for a month. Since then the number has been transferred to at least 3 or 4 service provides in the last 3 years. They see it as part of my friends account and did not transfer the number and could not. Their system is so screwed up.

2. Another number was a prepaid number with AT&T few years back and gone through the same cycle like the one described above. They do not see it as a number transfer and claim this is an AT&T number.

After losing multiple hours of my personal time with them, I had to give up with no luck. I guess these numbers can never be on AT&T again.

I am worried AT&T is going to be lot more challenging in managing the mess for customers like us.
It is good to see so many had success but not me.
I do not know what else I can do. If there is any wisdom that someone can share who went through this will be great.

Well, that question had been asked before, but nobody knows the answer for sure.

Are you signing up to actually use AT&T service or just to do the deal? Are the phone numbers important to you? If you just want to do the deal, or don't care about the phone numbers, buy Boost phone numbers on Ebay for about $5-$6 each.

A Shared 3GB Plan with 2 lines is $80 (after $20 autopay discount) + about $20 (25%) for taxes and fees. Sometimes the first bill is "irregular" because it includes more than one month (they try to synch the billing period to their schedule), or because they didn't apply the autopay credit yet.

The attachment below shows the 1st bill of my acct #2. The first part is a partial month (27 days) without autopay credit, the second part is a full month with autopay credit.

If you look at your pdf bill you should be able to figure out the numbers. If not, post a screenshot and I'll try to help figure it out.
Just received my first bill and what you paid in two months I got charged close to that in one month. I am getting charged $160.26 from July 20-July 23 and July 24-Aug 23 in advance. Going over the PDF bill and can see they didn't apply Auto-Pay and one line did not get activation fees waived. Will be chatting with a rep soon.
