Edit, found your answer a couple page back
How soon did you get employee discount on the bill? I activated my lines on 7/31 and did it via work email on the same day. Got my bill today, no discount
I noticed the discount in My Plan section in about 2-3 days after verifying work email but unlike your case, my bill generation date is further away from the verification date.

your next bill should cover this missing discount.

When do you see your first bill ready? I started AT&T service on 7/15, and my 1st bill is still not generated yet. Anything wrong?

Dont worry, sometime bill gets generated within 4-5 days, if they miss to generate the bill, then they generate after 34-35 days for 2 months.

I ported out 3 out of 4 numbers very easily/successfully to h2o, via their website's number transfer page https://www.h2owirelessnow.com/transfer and those 3 port transfers were completed in less than 3 minutes after each port-out.
I did it the same way hphamm_53 had described, with the yellow h2o sims ($1 each), and chose the cheapest Pay As You Go plan (no payment needed at time of transfer).

BUT... that other 1 out of 4 numbers was completely opposite.
I got the h2o error message saying "This number SEEMS it is not available for transfer".
Long story short, h2o ended up jacking me around for over 10 days with no explanation or resolution and totally quit responding to my status inquiries.
I had spoke with ATT porting dept, who said they checked that number & saw no problem with it for any port-out request. The problem was,, h2o never even made a port request to ATT throughout my 10 day fiasco!

So... 3 of my port-ins to h2o went ok, but the other one was a massive failure/headache.
Both my numbers had an error when I clicked the transfer number; so chatted with H2O reps - they manually submitted the port request; didnt work. Couple of days later chatted with them again (they said port request failed, couldnt tell why) and asked to resubmit once more. That was last week and I almost forgot. Just checked the AT&T online and the number isn't showing under devices. So I'm thinking the port-out worked this time; not sure.

Havent been keeping up with this thread but just noticed my account still has no bill and its been 2 weeks since I ordered and activated. My wife's account has a bill in about a week since ordering and her bill is $157.52. Guess we'll be chatting tomorrow, that seems way too high. Looks like its 2 lines on a shared plan so they got that part right.

IF (big if) everything goes flawlessly, you MIGHT get the SIMs on Monday. See this post #2978: https://slickdeals.net/f/14021282-att-250-prepaid-visa-card-with-port-in-of-new-line-and-activation-...

I don't know why some people like to wait until the very last minute. How much benefit is lost by porting out a few days early vs potentially missing out on a deal or paying for another month?
I was just going to port out to h20 from sprint and close the account but then this thread caught my interest last minute.

Did i read that the personal info (inc SSN) for the new at&t account has to match the personal info from the account being ported out of? Because of the cancellations i guess

Take a close look at the pdf bill in your account. If they didn't apply $20 autopay discount to the first month, it'll be higher than usual ($125 vs $100 for 2 lines in a shared plan). Also, sometimes they have a partial billing period to sync to their billing schedule.

Doesn't have to match. Lines from multiple people (husband & wife for example) can be ported into one AT&T account.

It's less than that. the 22% off is applied after all the discounts were applied to the shared plan. Please see below.

Mobile Share Plus 3GB Multi lineAutopay & paperless bill included ($20 off)
$40.00
National Account Discount
-$8.80

Plus the Access charge of $20 per each line, which is not discount eligible.

Thanks, i'm gonna pass this time but maybe next time.
Out of interest for future, the At&t rep said that once the account opening process is started online with the port in number then that number is frozen with the original carrier and they can't charge for it after that, even if the sim comes a few days later and the activation is completed after that. Is that true?

I dont think so. The line is still active until you get the sim and activate it.

Hi guys, i am trying to add a line to my existing account but i keep getting verification code error in the submit order screen. I did receive the verification code from ATT but none of them works. I called couple times but none of their reps know how to resolve this. Any insights will be greatly appreciated
