I tried opening account in my name and my parents, orders got cancelled every time. I called Ecom, chatted and still same result. Is the only option left now going to store opening dummy line and trying it again?

It's safe to do so. I did it with acct #1 and acct #2, ported out about 50 days after activation. No charge back on the GCs. They also sent me a partial refund for acct #1 via debit card. I expect them to do the same for acct #2 in a few weeks.

Have a question on BF.
Earlier it was showing verified and payable on Aug 1.
Now it simply says verified , I was expecting that I can cash out today so that I can cancel port-out of ATT as my new bill is due in few days.
Can you tell me what's going on with BF ? When did you cancel your ATT ? Please share your inputs, appreciated

From what I read in the Sprint thread, on the original Estimated Payable date two things can happen:
1. It changes from Verified - Estimated Payable xx/xx/xx to just plain Verified. This is a good sign and it should change to Payable the next day. I was checking the status on BF last night and the change occurred at the stroke of midnight, Eastern Time. Like yours, mine changed from Verified - Estimated Payable 8/1/20 to just plain Verified now. I'm in Central Time zone and will be watching the status around 11PM tonight to see if it changes to Payable. This account was ordered on 5/3 and already cancelled on 6/26.

2. It changes from Verified - Payable xx/xx/xx to Reversed or Denied if the cb won't be paid out for one reason or another. This is the case with my very 1st order, placed on 5/2 and was cancelled by AT&T the same day. Previously it showed Verified - Estimated Payable 7/30/20. Although it shows Payable now, they already showed the Transaction Reversed on 7/7/20, so I knew it wouldn't be paid out.

Is it safe to port-out ? How about you
I'm thinking Hell Mobile as they have $25 for 5 lines and 2nd month free. Then I can port-out again when there's a good deal so that I don't need bother to get ebay numbers

I already ported out of that account on 6/26. As for you, if you want to be sure, wait until midnight today (Eastern Time) to see if it changes to Payable. If it does, request a payout then start the process of porting out.

anyone get this error when trying to activate?

ACT116 : Looks like we're having a problem activating this number from your current provider.
Try again later, or for help right now, give us a call at 800.331.0500.
(ACT116)

Then when I go back to try again, it asks me to confirm device: "You recently received this device." Then lists an IMEI I dont recognize and the ICCID of one of the sims I received.

Sometimes when there's a problem with your porting request they purposely put in a fake IMEI to force you to call in. Call them and they'll sort it out.

thanks. It looks like they are having trouble porting the Boost number I got on ebay. When I call in I assume I say its my account, give my address, etc, but use the account number and pin that I got from the seller. Which is exactly what I did on my initial order so I'm not sure why it would work now. Makes me think some piece of info is missing.

When you call, just tell them the Boost number is yours. Since Boost is a prepaid MNVO and many users don't create an account, AT&T can't verify the ownership of the number to see if it's in your name. They'll have to take your words.

Never resolved, to put it mildly. Since Day 1 of the problem/error message, day after day, I ended up giving all my porting info to each rep, as they seem to have 'lost' the initial trouble ticket. I gave them the ticket number!

For 10 days, every day I'd have to explain from the beginning and each rep always asked for a callback number "in case we get disconnected". Every call got disconnected, yet not a single rep called me back, nor ever gave me any explanation. Then when I called they'd immediately hang up.
I ended up sending an email via their website over a week ago, but that also went unanswered (even tho I got immediate confirmation they received it).
H2O is the absolute worst 'customer service' I've ever run across, in decades. Period.
Quote from SDNovice :
Thats scary. I tried both of my ATT number and I get the same error for both. Has anyone successfully ported out from ATT to H2O? if yes, can you post the steps you have used to port out? TIA.
Quote from hpham_53 :
I successfully ported 6 numbers from my AT&T accounts and 3 numbers from my Sprint accounts to H2O.

- I used the "yellow" (not black) H2O SIMs bought at Best Buy for $1 each.
- I went to this site: https://www.h2owirelessnow.com/transfer and entered the phone number to be ported and just fill out info on the screens.
- After entering the H2O SIM number, the screen refreshed and showed the choices for time plans. I selected the one shown in the screen below, and left the box for PIN blank. Filled in the email address and call back number, then clicked SUBMIT. That's it.

All of my AT&T numbers were Boost phone numbers, bought on Ebay. My Sprint phone numbers came various sources (Visible, FreeUp).

What's the best/easy/cheap way to port out after the gift cards.

I tried h20 but it says number not eligible to port into h2o. Is h2o att mvno? And that's why it says not eligible?

I ported out 3 out of 4 numbers very easily/successfully to h2o, via their website's number transfer page https://www.h2owirelessnow.com/transfer and those 3 port transfers were completed in less than 3 minutes after each port-out.
I did it the same way hphamm_53 had described, with the yellow h2o sims ($1 each), and chose the cheapest Pay As You Go plan (no payment needed at time of transfer).

BUT... that other 1 out of 4 numbers was completely opposite.
I got the h2o error message saying "This number SEEMS it is not available for transfer".
Long story short, h2o ended up jacking me around for over 10 days with no explanation or resolution and totally quit responding to my status inquiries.
I had spoke with ATT porting dept, who said they checked that number & saw no problem with it for any port-out request. The problem was,, h2o never even made a port request to ATT throughout my 10 day fiasco!

So... 3 of my port-ins to h2o went ok, but the other one was a massive failure/headache.

If you still need to port out that 4th number, try using another choice like NumberBarn, or Tracfone with their cheapest plan ($15).

Thx, but I already closed the account trying to at least get partial month credit for the 3 lines. (The ATT rep said that lines/accts closed via phone call don't get credit, as service terminates at end of bill cycle).
In my case, I got impatient & ported out my main account line while that 4th line was in h2o 10th day limbo. Upon checking my account a couple days later, porting out the primary line closed the entire remaining line & account.
I 'may' get some refund for the 3 of the 4 lines, but not sure. I'll check with ATT on Monday.

I am new here. So on the 45th day after activation, they will send you an email on how to claim the prepaid card? Do I need to do anything before the 45th day? And usually the prepaid card can arrive before the 2 month is up, so I only need to pay for 2 months?
