Adios ATT! I won't miss you at all

I went the slower but cheaper route. Took my AT&T cards to the local Dillons/Krogers store and bought money orders. 4 cards for a $1000 m.o. and 2 cards for a $500 m.o., 88 cents fee for each m.o.

ugh
Log into your account and set the Passcode (aka PIN): Manage Profile--> Under Security & Settings-->Edit your passcode. You don't have to call them.

I did the same with one card at Walmart but it is hit or miss depends on the cashier. Once she asked to see my card and said no.

Reading some of your comments, did you end up getting the $20 auto pay discount applied on the second bill? And when you port to H20, did you set up an ATT PIN?

Acct #1: autopay discount was applied starting with 1st bill.
Acct #2: bill was produced late and included 1st and 2nd month. Autopay discount was applied to the 2nd month but not the 1st. I didn't bother contacting them about the missed discount.
Acct #3 (activated on 7/23): 1st bill did not get autopay discount. I chatted with a rep and he said the discount would be applied to the 2nd bill, and also back-credit for 1st ,month. We'll see.

I set the Passcode (aka PIN) for each account a few days after activation. You can't do it right away.

Same thing. It applies to all the numbers in the account when you want to port out. You'll also need to provide it when you chat with a Reward Center rep.

In my case, there was a hard pull for each new account, even if the address is same.

chat rep said it's possible to open multiple accounts for same person and qualify for 2 rewards per each of these accounts. you would open additional accounts just like how you would open a new account. not sure if there will be a hard pull for each new account opened this way. I didn't try this option though.
Thanks.

My 3 accounts were created with name, email, SSN of 3 different persons (me, wife, daughter), but same street address. My wife's 1st order (on 5/1/20) got a hard pull, but the rest of the orders did not. They do check your credit, but some got hard pulls, some got soft pulls, not consistent. The order on 7/19/20 for my acct #3 implies it's a soft pull.
Thanks. Is it safe to port out after the 2nd bill? ATT will not charge back, right?

It's safe to do so. I did it with acct #1 and acct #2, ported out about 50 days after activation. No charge back on the GCs. They also sent me a partial refund for acct #1 via debit card. I expect them to do the same for acct #2 in a few weeks.

Have you used TCP $100 or BF $50 cb?

Short answer: yes.

Long answer:
I used BF for my 1st order on 5/3. It had 4 lines and for some reason BF tracked it as $600 cb, estimated payable tomorrow 8/1. I'm anxiously waiting to see what will happen tomorrow, since I already closed that account on 6/26.
I used TCB for my 2nd order on 5/22 when they were running a Memorial Weekend Double Cash Back with an advertised rate of $150 per line. But they only tracked with a cb of $100. I submitted a claim on 5/27, they said they would forward it to AT&T and to wait 2-3 months for a response. That account was closed on 7/13.
Truthfully, I don't expect to receive either of those cb.

I used BF again for my 3rd order on 7/19 but the AT&T site froze after the order was submitted. The order was processed and approved, but BF has no tracking for it. I submitted a claim earlier this week, they responded and asked for a whole lot of info. I'm waiting to see if BF will pay me tomorrow on the 1st order. If they don't, then I won't bother submitting the info they requested for my 3rd order.
