Have you got/seen the bill after porting out?
No other bill generated after porting out. Last bill, 3rd bill was generated on Sept 23rd (Sep 24 - Oct 23) with no adjustments or prorated charges when ported out was completed on Sept 24. Was hoping to get a 4th bill which should have generated on Oct 23 with some adjustments or credits but nothing. Highly YMMV

When the 3rd bill was generated on Sept 23rd, AT&T would not know that you would port out on Sept 24 to give any adjustment.

I'd expect the 4th bill (when generated) will show a credit. I'd wait a few days to see if you'll be notified that the 4th bill is available. You can also log into your account and check. I think there's a lag of 1-2 days for them to notify you that the bill is available.

I'm not expecting 4th bill as bill should have generated on the 23rd like the previous bills. Will give it a couple more days but highly unlikely that I will receive any refund.

I see a few problems with that.
1. They will have to give you their PIN, effectively the control of their account.
2. If you want to use their numbers for this deal, you won't get the rewards because they come from AT&T.

1. You might be overvaluing the power of account information. (or then again maybe I'm naive). 1) I'm not so sure that that would be enough information to compromise an account; 2) just because someone has enough information to compromise an account doesn't mean that they will. As an aside, people have even gone so far as to sell Ebay accounts, without any guaranty that the name on said Ebay account will ever change out of the sellers name.
2. I wont be using the number on AT&T.

Edit: I have done about 3 or 4 transactions with people on this forum. I can give the screen name of the user that I did a trade with earlier this year.

2) I agree on this point.
3) Some people do dumb things on Ebay.
1) The seller will have to give the buyer his/her name, AT&T account number, and PIN. With that info, a buyer who wants to cause headaches can contact AT&T and add a bunch of lines to the account. All the info needed to ask a rep to do so is name of account holder, phone number, and PIN. When the next bill comes due, the account owner is stuck with a large unexpected bill. I'm not saying YOU will do that, but there are people out there causing troubles just for their sick enjoyment. Would I take that chance and sell my numbers for a few bucks? No way.

Hope you get the credit. I finally didn't - I contacted Customer Care and they said "While I check on your account, I just want to let you know that cancellations are not prorated"

Anyone here added lines september middle of the month? My 45th day is tomorrow and I saw a couple of people here got their reward card without even contacting AT&T. Is that the trend these days?

You make a good point. Better to sell numbers on pre-paid accounts that don't have any payment method saved (or have a payment method that will decline, like privacy dot com credit card)

Activated two lines on Oct 19. Wasn't sure of signature discount so called ATT sales representative and got the porting done. He added $250 reward over phone and sent me confirmation on my email. He told me in order to get Teacher's discount it needs to be unlimited plan and any type of paystub (I'm a teaching assistant at university) from a university works for this signature discount. I signed up for unlimited plan ($70 plus taxes each line). Got first bill on Oct 26 of $155 (Shows $2.33 for billing cycle Oct 19-Oct 20 and rest for Oct 21- Nov 20). Don't see any signature discount. Called them and rep told me that she don't see any discount on my account. She said as fine prints says I'll get the discount as billing credits in 1-2 billing cycle.
Question: Has anyone tried to stack up Teacher's discount with $250 reward (+ FAN discount if that is different from teacher's discount) and when did you see the credits in your account?

Me too i did not receive the prorated credit and the customer care rep mentioned that they changed the policy for BYOD not to pro rate anymore. You loose all the money if it was paid. No refund.
I cancelled 2 months ago and checked online account every month to see a credit. But as mentioned by rep it is correct and I am not going to get a refund on the remaining days not used.

But you can ask the rep on the prorated refund and she/he might honor a $25 credit on the bill. I was given $25 credit when contacted the rep in chat.
Initially was given $10 and before closing the chat I praised her and then she throwned another $15.
So try your luck.

I don't know. I've done the deal 3 times, but under my name, wife's name, and daughter's name. If you sign up again using the same name and SS#, I don't know if they'll re-open your account or open a new account.
When you did the deal 3 times, were you using same phones?

Yes, I used the same 4 phones for all 3 times (4 phones for the 1st deal, but only 2 phones were needed for the 2nd and 3rd deal), but I let one deal ended before I started another one with AT&T. I also use the same 4 phones CONCURRENTLY with a T-mo BYOD deal in April-May.
