Selection is pretty limited this time but I do see few sci-fi books I was interested in: red rising book 1, wise man's fear

Two of the Fellowship of the Ring trilogy, Fahrenheit 451, several of the Expeditionary Force series, both Kingkiller Chronicles (The Name of the Wind and A Wise Man's Fear), The Martian, Skyward, the entire Hunger Games trilogy, The Light of All That Falls (The Licanius Trilogy, Book 3), The Quantum Magician, Jurassic Park, the aforementioned Red Rising, The Five Love Languages (has been really good for my marriage) and three of the Outlander books.

I already own most of them that I'd be interested in, but still a few to consider.
The library is awesome and hopefully they will exist forever, despite the anti-library crowd.
But there is plenty of room for Audible, which has a much larger catalog and no waiting. Both libraries and commercial bookstores can and should co-exist happily.
It's people like you that ruin good policies for the rest of us. At least have a little shame for being such a scab. If you want free just go to a library.

On the site it's counting down from 149 days. Not sure that's accurate

"We'll be refreshing the titles you can choose from every few weeks, so check back often to discover something new to enjoy."

So I guess I have to keep checking every few weeks to see if there *might* be a new selection?

Both King Killer Chronicles books

And a couple Hunger Games books (not my thing but a lot of people like them).

There's a 'light' membership option. You keep the credits you have and have access to sales but don't get more monthly credits. They also have good deals on buying a yearly membership, you get 12 or 24 credits at once for a large payment. Your membership lasts a year. Credits expire now though, dunno after how long. No u can't just buy a credit if you are not a member. You have to have some credits and then go to the really cheap light plan to keep them. Cancelling completely whacks your credits.

YMMV, but I tried Red Rising and found it so impossibly cliché I gave up on it very soon. I enjoyed Sanderson's Skyward though. 'Girl with a Dragon' is now 'Girl with a Spaceship', but was fun, and book 2 was not a letdown either.

On the other hand, The Martian read by Wil Wheaton?? Look, I like Wil's work, and really thought highly of his narration of Ready Player One, so don't get me wrong. The problem is that R.C.Bray, the original narrator of The Martian, gave an Oscar-worthy performance. It was really that good. I cannot begin to understand why they replaced it.

On the plus side, they misplaced the first two parts of the Lord of the Rings in Fiction, and not Sci-fi and Fantasy. No idea why. So you can get both the The Fellowship and the Ring and The Two Towers for one credit. Now that is a find!

The Martian was great and Red Rising series is amazing! Granted the first three are way better than the next grouping but still can wait to listen to them all over and over

Fahrenheit 451 and Brave New World are still listed online the "fiction" section, instead of the "prophetic visions of early 21st century dystopia" section...
