I already own most of them that I'd be interested in, but still a few to consider.
But there is plenty of room for Audible, which has a much larger catalog and no waiting. Both libraries and commercial bookstores can and should co-exist happily.

On the site it's counting down from 149 days. Not sure that's accurate
So I guess I have to keep checking every few weeks to see if there *might* be a new selection?
Several Expeditionary force titles
Both King Killer Chronicles books
The Martian
Red Rising
And a couple Hunger Games books (not my thing but a lot of people like them).

Can you have credits without being a member?

There's a 'light' membership option. You keep the credits you have and have access to sales but don't get more monthly credits. They also have good deals on buying a yearly membership, you get 12 or 24 credits at once for a large payment. Your membership lasts a year. Credits expire now though, dunno after how long. No u can't just buy a credit if you are not a member. You have to have some credits and then go to the really cheap light plan to keep them. Cancelling completely whacks your credits.

Selection is pretty limited this time but I do see few sci-fi books I was interested in: red rising book 1, wise man's fear
On the other hand, The Martian read by Wil Wheaton?? Look, I like Wil's work, and really thought highly of his narration of Ready Player One, so don't get me wrong. The problem is that R.C.Bray, the original narrator of The Martian, gave an Oscar-worthy performance. It was really that good. I cannot begin to understand why they replaced it.
On the plus side, they misplaced the first two parts of the Lord of the Rings in Fiction, and not Sci-fi and Fantasy. No idea why. So you can get both the The Fellowship and the Ring and The Two Towers for one credit. Now that is a find!
