EDIT: Adding the saw (Model 2830-20 [homedepot.com]) and battery (XC 8.0Ah [homedepot.com]) to your cart separately will stack the discount of the battery (which is currently discounted $30) and the free battery promo ($200 for retail of the battery) resulting in a net price of $239!

I added the saw (tool only) and the xc 8.0ah battery separately to my cart and the price dropped to $219 for the pair. Not a bad deal at all for a brushless fuel saw.
HomeDepot is running a promotion [homedepot.com] for free battery with certain Milwaukee M18 FUEL bare tools. The batteries in this promo are either the XC 5.0Ah or XC HIGH OUTPUT 8.0Ah.

I've been eyeing the M18 FUEL Rear Handled 2830-20 [homedepot.com] and luckily that tool is paired up with the HO 8.0Ah! This is an awesome deal since the tool retails for $269 and the 8.0Ah retails for $150

Here are the other tool battery pairings available

Sorry I should have linked. Adding both of these to cart will come to $199. In my order I can see they ring up seperate as $142 for the saw and $56 for the battery. Because I also got the sawzall+battery today and I already have a 5.0 battery from a previous deal, I'll probably return 1 battery for $56 back, I usually just rotate between 2 batteries.

I got bored waiting for my order to process. Here is the list of bare tools that have the discount with the 5.0 battery, the battery listed is at the very bottom. Add tool + battery for $avings. Prices do vary for some of these. I did not include (currently) out of stock items or the deals with the 8.0 battery as adding them to cart separately does not give a better discount.

Is this available in store?
And does anyone know if the batteries are able to be returned for credit?

I'm not sure if battery comes in packaging individually or in the box as a deal. If it's packaged individually then they probably would let you get store credit. Not sure though.

I'm not sure if this is really a worm drive? Or a larger motor than the normal 7 1/4" Fuel? I tend to prefer the left side drive as it's easier to eye the blade.

That's a great Idea. Who knows. Depends on the packaging. I bought a Dewalt framing nailer from the HD and it came with a free 20v xr 4h battery in retail packaging that I might turn in for stor credit. Thanks

In for 1. Been eyeing a cordless saw. Tired of my old corded black and decker that I've been using for 12 years. So tires of the cord..... thanks so much

Worm drive "style", the same as the dewalt counterpart.

Has the router been in a promotion since it's release?
And I'm pretty sure the new 12" saw is seeing a promotion for the first time.
Both seem like great deals as well.

I haven't been able to find actual motor specs. However, from WorkshopAddict [youtube.com]'s review it seems that the rear handled 2830 is a little bit more powerful than the regular 2732 (7/ 1/4" FUEL)
