Power on this saw is similar or greater than the 10" sliding Ridgid I replaced. Got this one 2 years ago ($400 for the saw and 4 5.0AH batteries @HD) and haven't had a single issue with it.
Don't think he's ever been to a job site or a job where there is never enough outlets or extension cords to do a job. Being cordless is so convenient and efficient. I can just make quick cuts in my van or truck then move onto the next project.
To have a battery operated miter saw, lol
