Man that's a great deal! I pieced my Jamo set together as they went on sale singly. I'm pretty sure I ended up spending a little more than this.
Great deal on speakers I'm very happy with, this was my first home audio set up.

This is a great deal. Residually sice it covers with Subwoofer. I'd go with the s83 center since the s81 is only 3.5" woofers vs the 5" of the s83 ...

For the price, you can't beat it.

Own the 807s and the S83 center and they are great for the money. Cannot speak for the sub though? Likely the weak link here?

I have an open concept living room. I don't have space for speakers other than the wall the TV is mounted. It seems like this would be overkill for a a single wall (and floor for standing speakers). Am I correct? Just trying to think what I would realistically need.

Never heard the monoprice ones...but jamo I think is on par with the Sony core series, sounds really amazing.
