I bought one earlier this year for $59.99. This is a good deal. Mine just stopped working but the company sent me a new one under RMA. Waiting to test it out.

I want the long cable though for when using this with my MacBook. Is best route for that just getting an original OEM Apple charger?

This is almost half the price of the 96W USB-C Power Adapter and has 2 ports.

Years from now. Very few phones can do 45w, let alone 60... Computers will need this. USBC isn't being phased out anytime soon.

I bought one of these adapters to charge my MacBook Pro, but it seems the original OEM adapter charges the device much faster, even if it's less wattage.

Can be used due to backwards compatibility and accepted for not optimized, then this product should be fine. The lack of protocol support such as PPS can be a factor to considered as a draw back...

Thanks but looking at this:

It seems best to not get this if the intent is MacBook Pro charging to mimic OEM charger
I guess it depends on your intended use. If you need to charge your laptop as quick as possible or you intend on pushing it to it's limits while plugged in then maybe not, however it's a steal compared to a stock charger and it gets you 80% of the way there. I bought a lower wattage charger with a C and A port and it's my 'travel charger for everything.' Even though it charges my Surface Book 2 slowly, it's good enough for non-gaming and it takes up a fraction of the space and weight of the phone, stock laptop, and headphone chargers I used to bring everywhere.

Perfect for 15" MacBook Pro. That original power adapter is HUGE!
