Any one know if this is better than Vizio m658? I've already price matched at Best buy and have a scheduled delivery for Saturday, but would cancel if this is a better tv.

Seems like this is a 2018 model since box says 2018 CNET editors choice. I see no mention of Quantum Dot or Local Dimming Zones on the box either, but instead 120 contrast control zones. not sure if it's the same.

Costco is no longer selling the TCL 65" size TV's, hence the price drop.

I have this TCL 65inch 6 series from COSTCO for more than 4 months now, same price, 4 year warranty with COSTCO card.
TV is AMAZING, same picture quality as VIZIO P series ( I would say even brighter as I have both TVs), Zero issues, best app software ( ROKU and has DOLBY VISION that ROKU by itself does not have), has DVR recording enabled for OTA channels. Make sure it is at least a 2019 year of manufacturing as there have been complaints with Dirty Effect on some panels. This TCL 6 series also has the better remote, and it is BRIGHTER than the 2019 QLED series. I would say one of the brightest TVs I have seen for up to $1000. The brighter the better. Surprised it is still selling.

local dimming is the same as contrast control zone. if you look up the threads from December and February, slickdealers bought up the 2018 6-series at this price like hot cakes. Most of us love it. Some of us had to go through the panel lottery (exchanged 1 time for me). Best valued 65" on the market.

I found this reddit discussion if it helps. Compares Hisense H8F, Vizio m658, and this TV.

The remote seems to be a complaint, but I can always use my Logitech universal. Not a big deal

Love this TV, have the 55" version from Costco. I'm a TCL faithful from now on and actually looking at 43" 4 series to serve as my monitor.

Only minor complaint is that the remote doesn't have the headphone jack but I can still use the phone for that.

This is the better remote of the two versions for 2018. Works great. Your phone is also a remote ( ROKU app) and you can transfer the sound to your phone as well. Zero issues.
