Verizon is offering customers with existing non-committed 100/100 plan a free upgrade to 200/200 plan for the same monthly cost of $39.99 without additional commitments.

To receive this free upgrade, login to MyVerizon dashboard here [verizon.com]. Then click "Order Now" under the black "mix & match on Fios" tile. Click your existing 100/100 speed, then click "More Speeds" and select 200/200 for a month cost of $39.99.

Complete the order and you'll now have double the speed for "free".

Please note that if your G1100 or G3100 router is connected to the ONT via COAX, your order will not be processed unless a technician visits your location to switch it over to Ethernet. COAX on the ONT only supports speeds up to 100/100 and anything faster will require the router to be connected directly into the Ethernet port on the ONT.

Question for you networking peeps. My house is pre-wired for coax throughout the house. Currently the ONT is in the garage, and my router is on the 3rd floor. I have 100/100 FIOS currently. If I want to upgrade to the 200/200 or higher speeds, do I need to rewire my entire home with ethernet?

My Mix & Match page has been broken for about a month and a half now since I switched to the 100/100 plan. It just keeps showing me the loading screen with three dots, and hasn't went away. Anyone know how to fix it? Tried clearing cookies, rebooting router, etc.

Also, is Verizon still not letting techs visit homes? I'm on a coax connection.

Short answer yes if you need RJ45 in every room other wise just use the router or mesh and upgrade to better speeds.

Worked like charm. Speed bumped up to 200/200 after a minute. Repped!

Couple of questions I had. Would appreciate the help.

1) I still have 8 months left on my 2 year contract. I can see the 200mb offer for 39.99. If I chose this, what would happen to the 8 months left? Would that immediately cancel out and I would go 39.99 a month no contract?

2) I have the G1100 modem/router and I'm pretty sure it's connected through coaxial. I have the 100mb plan and when I run speedtest.net it goes up to 110mb. Would I be capped at this speed even if I spring for the 200mb?
In a similiar boat and was able to upgrade. Went from $74.99 to 39.99. Even if I have to honor the contract I'm waaaay better off.

Fantastic! Took a couple of minutes to jack up to 200Mbps. Was thinking to change my 5yr old Archer C9, but will stick to it now. Thanks OP.

so I signed up under this plan just about exactly a year ago.
$40 200/200 with auto pay.
a $15 discount is ending in 9 days, the 16th.

There is no option to continue at the $40 rate.

What is my best option here?
Cancel before the 16th and sign up under a different name?
I have my own g1100 router that I purchased on Ebay that is currently being used.
I want to get a 'new account' in order to get the free Disney plus. But I am sure a new account will require a tech to come out even thought they literally came to install it last year.

Oh, why did Verizon have to sell it's business to Frontier in CA. Now that we're stuck with a shitty company that is going backrupt and shitty plan / services...

Man, so all the people in this thread have RJ45 ethernet run through their house? I'm so behind the times! LOL

Wait companies actually offer deals to existing customers?
NO, NOT ALL.

I am on an expired grandfathered Triple Play plan. Which includes HBO and Cinemax.
My previously purchased router is already connected to the ONT via ethernet cable, I am currently on 100/100 Internet speed.

I can't upgrade just the Internet speed.

This Mix and Match BS requires me to change my TV plan at the same time. Therefore losing HBO and Cinemax and having to pay separately for them.

I also have to pay an equipment charge to upgrade my STBs.

This "upgrade" will severely increase my monthly bill.

As usual Verizon screws over existing customers.
Thanks for nothing VZ.

Anybody else in the same situation?

I have a gigabit plan with many months left on it. It looks like I can downgrade to 100mb no term, would I then be able to do this deal?

Thanks!
