The xvj03 is a barrel grip and doesn't have a trigger. It's kinda weird to operate and I never quite got used to it. It has a sensor that automatically speeds up the blade depending on how much pressure is applied to it. I prefer the standard D handle jigsaw with the variable speed trigger.
Brushless motors are more efficient than brushed motors, but you'd have to weigh the extra cost against your usage.
