This thermostat has a 3.5" LCD color touchscreen with 320 x 480 resolution. Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and HomeKit are all supported. Audio is possible thanks to built-in microphones and a speaker. Additionally, this thermostat is equipped with far-field voice recognition technology that allows it to hear you from across your room. -slickdewmaster
Depending on your state you might get a rebate for buying one. Here's an example that I used in MA, I have gotten a check for $100 which would make this deal even slicker
Here's a link to ComEd Marketplace for this product ($119 after instant rebates) I referenced in my post. You buy it directly from ComEd Marketplace. https://comedmarketplace.com/ecob...5TSAT.html
How does this compare to the Nest and Honeywell smart thermostats.
I had a Nest E for the last three years that I purchased on sale for right at $100 and it has worked great. Love the fact that when my household is empty is shut everything down unless it got too cold or too hot.
I have moved to a new home and the one I just purchased has dumb thermostats (times 2) so I would like to install smart thermostats but like most I don't want to pay more than is necessary or for features that I don't need.

I had a Honeywell Lyric T5 and couldn't keep it connected to my network. Then bought a Nest and the only reason I got the Ecobee is for HomeKit compatibility. My Ecobee lite runs circles around the Nest E, but I'm sure there's more functions to the more premium Nests. If you're on the fence, take a chance.

Yeah, ecobee did a dumb thing on their branding. The headline as posted is more useful
Agreed. I have 2 of these in my 2 story house. Very happy with them
I have the lite, but thinking about upgrading for the built in occupancy sensor. Can the Alexa listening be turned off?

I have the 4, and Alexa is god awful on it, but luckily you can shut it off, even after you set it up. Assuming they'll do the same on the 5.
Yes. Very easy to enable or disable Alexa
