The Costco stores in Bradenton and Brandon, FL had Guinness Cans as of yesterday, 5/9. I always look for Guinness in Costco and rarely find it. While I suspect this is Costco's regular price it is much less than other stores charge, like the $7.99/4 pack that Total Wine charges in my area. I don't know if this is regional or nationwide, but is about the lowest I have ever seen for Guinness 14.9 oz cans.

Pretty sure buying alcohol at Costco doesn't require membership. At least in California you don't. Good deal too.

One of my favorites. My Atlanta area Costco is carrying it now. I'm very happy.

This is Costco's regular price. I was tempted but bought Blue Moon instead. You need to be in the mood for Guinness but BM goes down any time.

Interesting. Blue Moon is made by MillerCoors. Just so you know.

Which mood(s) asks for Guinness? Just curious.

Maybe you need to be in the mood for it. I could take a pint of Guinness any day. Blue Moon? Eh. Really need to be in a certain mood for a macro brew like that.

I have drunk more Guinness in my life than any person my age should have been able to. At one point in my younger years I kept a drinking diary for about 6 months and that revealed that I was averaging 100 fl oz/day; that's 285 gallons/year. Nowadays I really do have to be in the mood for it, not least because it has the alcoholic content of Lite beer while being more expensive than regular beer.

Guinness was $9.99 per 12 pack of the non-12-oz bottles at all my stores before St. Patty's day. This doesn't seem to be a screaming deal but would be good if it's also hard to find. That's $0.074/oz. This deal is $0.081/oz making the equivalent 12 pack of 11.2 oz $10.89.

It's interesting that you said your Costco just carries them. The Costco here in La has been carrying them for at least a year. Once (a few months ago) they were starred. But, then they just removed the star and kept carrying them.
My point is I thought they have a supply network and they carry almost the same things all over the country. I can understand why produce can be area dependent but something imported like Guinness? That's very interesting. More interesting is that FL and LA are not that far from each other.

Anyhow, Guinness is one of my favorites. So, congratulations. You can get many of them now.

Thanks for posting, great price! I did not know Costco was carrying it now. And I was told membership is required in Florida to purchase alcohol. I let my membership lapse because it is not convenient for us. Does anyone know if I could have it delivered and if the price is higher for that?

FYI-Total wine raised it to $8.49.

This is a great price on the cans, which tend to run more than the bottles. Publix gets $10/4 pack on the cans.

EDIT-Instacart delivers and price is $33.89, $35 minimum order. So $5 extra plus tip.

Hey MadPup, I strongly recommend you track down the Guinness 200 Years of Stout in America [12-bottle] Variety Pack [see attached picture]. 3 each of 4 stout styles: Original (4.2%abv), 200thAnniversary (6%), Foreign Extra (7.5%), and Antwerpen (8%).

Remember ... "Guinness Is Good for You." [old pub sign (below)]
