Really good system especially at this price. I got the black ones from Best Buy. I had a mother in law addition to our house and nothing could get through the tripple thick wall reliably except this. I tried a bunch of cheaper "mesh" routers and this one works the best. On a side note I did not try orbi. But I get WiFi all over my property which is .75 acres.
I'm not tech savvy. so I may be wrong. But this set is AC4600 in total, which means AC1500 each. The orbi AC3000 is AC3000 each. Sounds like a big difference to me.
Edit: As other posters have pointed out, this Linksys system is in fact AC2200 + AC1200 + AC1200. The Orbi AC3000 is AC3000. All the numbers included the band for wireless backhaul.

Looks like a good price, but this reported speed could be a deal breaker... can someone confirm that this is actually only AC1500 wireless?

Where do you see Orbi AC3000 which has ac3000 each and not be combined?
Just a warning. If you have TP-link smart plugs/bulbs/switches or LIFX, avoid this system. I've got the newer model and a firmware update in November of last year made many smart devices unusable. They have yet to fix the issue. Downgrading the firmware was tricky and it causes other issues (mainly with dropped connections between the nodes).

If this is the same as this: https://www.linksys.com/us/p/P-VLP0203/ (though says exclusively at costco).
It looks like the tall node is a tri band AC2200, and the 2 shorter nodes are dual band AC1200, (1200+1200+2200 =4600).
which doesn't make any sense to me, sounds like no dedicated backhaul
