Not finding the DOE rating for this unit. Also it might be worth finding out the warranty repair network, if there is one. If you have to pay for shipping to Walnut California = $ ouch!

Technology Connections on Youtube has a good video on why you shouldn't get one of these unless you are willing to trade off a huge amount of efficiency for the portability.

They're really convenient and even necessary if you don't have access to windows that will fit a traditional non-permanent A/C, but a lot of the cooling capacity is lost to a lowered ability to exhaust the hot air.

I looked them up on google. Says they're temporarily closed. Emailed them to see if they'd respond, a couple days ago, but haven't heard back. Wondering if they'll make it through the pandemic. Would hate to buy and have no warranty coverage if they don't reopen.

Ukoke? I've never heard about this company. It sounds like some African language.

This is correct, but his video was only for single hose units like this one. They also make double hose units. Are those more efficient?

My apartment window is only 11 1/4"x22" So far I haven't found a window air conditioner that is small enough to fit it yet Frown

He touches on those in the video and apparently they're definitely more efficient than the standard one-hose.

That said, he admits he owns two portable AC units himself because he's got no other option, so I think his main takeaway is "If a window unit is at all possible, get that, otherwise, a portable can fit your situation even though it'll be a lot less efficient".
