    I've been looking to order some 27" monitors to do basic excel, email, stuff like that, this should be more than sufficient? I'm not a gamer or anything like that, just want a pair of good 27's.

    sure, but those Staples monitors (under $100 recent deals) work as well for those tasks.. in case you want to hold out for next round
