I purchased a Rosewill 1500w induction burner for a university for a semester that was used every day, cooking for 80 athletes. The thing was a beast. We attempted to order another and got a Hamilton Beach which died within 2 weeks. So we stuck with one and it lasted a semester. I would recommend one at this price if you needed it.

why not. i was just thinking about replacing my Shabu Shabu Hot Pot machine (all of them are garbage after a while due to spaces developed between the pot and heat element). with this i can at least reuse the pot.

I think it's just the nature of the form factor of the device. 1500 watts is a LOT of power for something this compact
