8/10 of these will probably last 6-7 years, 2/10 will probably die in 2 years. Quality assurance doesn't exist anymore.
Planned obsolescence and just the overall goal of capitalism - making profit, a repeat customer is better for the economy.
The reason I am upset. Society is built just for profits, screw pollution, who cares about trash crisis, energy crisis, water crisis, environmental destruction, air quality, clean water, species genocide.
'Capitalists' have fooled humanity into believing we need high consumerist consumption to have functioning society. Now with AI? All these humans are being replaced and the majority is going to end up screwed. UBI is not coming to save us.
I know this is a bot account, but let me use this post to once again say that I bought a top of the line LG, with a 2 year warranty. It conked out in 18 months, they replace the board, it lasted long enough to get past the end of the warranty.
Then I bought a low tier Samsung for $1500. This was pre covid and it's still running strong
Hisense in general is a crap brand with a price to match. Samsung and LG both had problems with the linear compressor - that's what I learned from the multiple youtubers who do appliances for a living. However, in case of repair, you will definitely have better luck with Samsung and LG in comparison to Hisense.
Bit the bullet based on this YT review: https://youtu.be/VP-FD3XWZ9Q?feature=shared
It supposedly has a low failure rate, since there are very few working parts according to the review. But there aren't a lot of technicians out there that can fix it. But most buyer's comments seem to be positive in terms of longevity.
If you don't "need" a roll out bottom freezer, etc., etc. Costco has a 20 cubic foot Two Door, top freezer Whirlpool for $600. (delivered & haul-away old one).. In White or Black.

Do you happen to have link for this Costco whirlpool fridge?

Spending more means nothing
