oh...nvm...it's automatic
We had this fridge delivered last Saturday. By that night we knew it had to go back because of the high-pitched whine it was making along with the regular compressor motor noise. The compressor noise was measurable but not significant for us since our old 30 year old fridge made more noise, but this Hisense always emitted a high-pitched tone that drove us crazy almost to the point of tears. We had to unplug it and wait for a different brand on Sunday. I noticed another review on Lowe's website that complained of the same thing. We replaced it with a top freezer LG for the same price that doesn't have the bad linear compressor that fails on all other LGs.
BUT, the refrigerator was nice otherwise. We hated to see it go. If you think the high-pitched whine won't be a problem for you then Costco has one branded "Mora" - its exactly the same fridge from Hisense for $449 delivered.

EDIT: Nevermind... looks like the MORA went up in price. Check in your zipcode.
IF you want to roll the dice like we did then stick with Lowes as you have 48 hours grace period to switch it out for something else. That is what we did. We don't like the LG as much because of the form factor but it is much quieter.
