It doesn't ask for a credit card so auto renewal isn't possible. Good question.

They are asking for personal info including last employer. And this condition: I understand that my eligibility for this offer is conditioned on the accuracy of the information I have provided.

Not trusting them with this info.

So, they are essentially telling people to make up fake info.

Only if you aren't unemployed would one need to lie. Employer isn't very personal. It's a good app with meditation as well as exercise routines.

Headspace is offering their Plus subscription for free for those who have been unemployed, are healthcare workers, or are educators.

Yeah, a little. People like you are exactly why restaurants rarely offer free benefits to military and first responders.

A small company is promoting their product to a crowd that might legitimately need mental health help. Yes, they'll hope to capitalize in the end, but to offer a full year of their premium service is very generous. You are acting in bad faith by illegitimately taking advantage of that.

So when the next time a corporation tries to nickel-and-dime everyone to death, remember its folks like you that make it necessary.

Enjoy the meditation. I suspect you've got lots of Headspace to go through.

Headspace is great. They are The New York Times' The Wirecutter pick for best meditation app.
