For those upset about having another launcher with Epic games, I get it. I was the same way! I'm just going to put this out there... GOG 2.0 as a launcher is a wonderful thing. I added my steam, origin, uplay, battle net accounts to it. The games launch from there from any client and you never have to even deal with opening those clients. It's great to see all of my games on one list.
Heck, you can even add your PlayStation account, Xbox, and Xbox game pass. Obviously can't launch these from here (unless it's an Xbox game pass game on pc), but still pretty cool to see my entire collection.
Edit: For reference and reputation, gog is brought to you by the makers of Witcher 3 and the upcoming cyberpunk 2077.
It is an additional client. If it makes you feel better, imagine it's like going to walmart instead of target or best buy.
I try to buy everything through steam but I'm not going to pass up free games from epic or heavily discounted games just because it's not from my favorite video game store client.
It's an additional client. If it makes you feel better they are a major player and aren't going anywhere so you likely aren't going to be using it just for GTAV.
Some are concerned with using it because Tencent (a Chinese company) owns 40% of Epic Games.

I think they're just getting bombed. Took me a while but I was able to get on with Firefox. Seems to be working much better now then 30 minutes ago. So everyone is getting GTA V? I thought there might be some variety. Now just need to make up my mind if I want to pull the trigger on Control. Anyone know if there are plans to offer it in a package for PC that includes the DLCs? Searching but haven't found any info.
It's been super slow, just like the old days of steam sales crashing their servers.
Some decent prices, and there's a $10 coupon off $14.99 or up which makes for some stupid pricing on ultimate editions where it might be cheaper to buy the base game + season pass
Example: Assassin's Creed Origins Gold Edition is $15 after coupon, while the Deluxe game ($7.5) + Season Pass ($6) is only $13.50
Witcher 3 Complete and Far Cry 5 and $5, and Control is $20 which is the cheapest I can remember seeing from a legit site.

Yeah I just check the down detector. Maybe because of GTA5.
The whole Epic store is buckling because of the GTA 5 giveaway today
you can keep refreshing or relaunching the app to get in eventually
