I've always wanted to install this in my house. But how does it handle gaming?

It's 4x4 AC spec wifi, it's not exactly slow or known for having issues specific to Ubiquiti. Your bigger concerns are everything else within 100 yards, your client, whatever router you have, rest of network.

I've never talked to anyone who went to Ubiquiti and regretted it, but you have to invest a reasonable amount of time and resources to deploy it well depending on your situation.

Gaming traffic is no different than anything else you would do with your internet. So it'll work fine if placed in your home appropriately.

Have not had good experience with the early WiFi 6 router/access points from other companies. Have this nanoHD and this will easily get you into the 600+ Mbits/s (iperf3) on an iphone11. Until WiFi 6 stabilizes, might be a while before you want or need WiFi 6 in your network.

Correct. I also watched the price for a while and then bought 2 of them last month with Amex promo.

Great AP, but not a great price. It's been this price for months (see attached screenshot or check CCC yourself.) $135-140 is the usual sweet spot. If you need one right now, it's better than no sale at all, but this is absolutely not a slick deal.

If you insist on buying anyway, keep in mind the third-party seller on Amazon is not likely to be an authorized reseller, so you could have warranty issues should the need arise. (B&H on the other hand is an authorized dealer, and you can save the sales tax if you use Payboo.)

I have two of these along with the Ubiquiti USG in my house to cover 3000sqft. They work flawlessly for our top tier Xfinity line. We average 500mbps connections on WiFi throughout the house and back yard. They handle anything we can throw at them from 4k streaming to midday gaming needs while the home office is full tilt video conferencing. Paid this price when we bought them a year ago. So, the price is just meh, but if the price works for you get one. If not, I am sure they will come down in price. In any case a Ubiquiti system is the only way I would go at this point.
