What's wrong with 720p? If you're purposes are for watching movies in the backyard which this appears to be intended for, does it matter that much? I read at certain distances and size of the screen you can't even really tell the difference between 1080 vs 720.

I have this for my son as a corona lock down cheer up device. I believe for $20 less. He loves it. It automatically keystones and corrects. Runs for hours. Is bright enough for a whole wall at night.

Will I get a 4k version. Yes. At that point pixel density is really helpful. But 1080p vs 720p. Idk. It works really well.

Yeah I've read that too. But if you go larger (like you can with this projector) then it's more relevant. Plus everything I have is 1080p files. That might not be relevant for some

We use this to be able to watch a movie anytime anywhere. On a nice cool evening we will go outside and watch a movie outside against our house. You can bring movies on SD card/USB stick for complete portability so you don'/ event need internet. Had a hard time between this and the AAXA 7p but giving up the 1080p vs 720p gave me a brighter picture that can last long enough to view an entire movie without having to be on uber saver battery mode where the brightness gets nerfed down heavily. If you're always going to be using the projector plugged up then this is not the category of projectors you're looking for anyways and of course a dedicated projector will give you more.
