Rei.com is currently having their Anniversary Sale (May 15-25).

Co-op Members get 20% Off One full-price item OR Extra 20% Off One Outlet item with coupon code ANNV20.

Yeti has recently released their new and improved Roadie 24 Cooler and REI has it in stock.

It seems most places are slowly getting rid of the Roadie 20 Coolers they have in stock, which is why they have dropped the prices a bit.

The Roadie 24 will most likely not be on sale for a while. Not a bad price if you're in the market for Yeti this size.

The Roadie 20 is also the same price. Yes, I know the 24 has slightly higher capacity, but some people may prefer the shape of the 20. If you need to carry tall items, like wine or 2-liter soda bottles, the 24 is likely better for you, but if you're carrying a bunch of drinks in cans or smaller bottles (12 ounce), the 20 gives you better access to the cooler contents.

I was looking at the two. Roadie 24 is 2 inches wider, whereas Roadie 20 is 2 inches taller. I don't think that is a significant difference.
Roadie 24 is also 2 lbs lighter than the Roadie 20.

Total quarantine boredom purchase.... I have hated my roadie 20 for years. No more smashed fingers from the roadie 20 handle!

Always hilarious seeing (relatively) wealthy urban "professionals" (i.e., desk jockeys) throwing money at commonplace products like this, for that one day per year they go to a park. These products represent almost zero R&D/innovation -- they're all about corporate branding strategy and psychological manipulation. Congratulations, gullible people! Meanwhile Joe the Plumber has been using his Igloo or whatever for 30 years, every day, tossed in the back of his pickup truck that he actually uses for work.
These aren't meant to be practical purchases, or else they wouldn't be selling a "charcoal" colored cooler to begin with. Much like how a Ferrari is not as practical as a minivan, and a designer purse it's not as practical as a tote bag. In each case it doesn't make sense to compare them as though they're competing products as they're designed for completely different goals and uses.

Always hilarious seeing people here who give a crap what other people spend their money on.

(Personally, I own a Pelican cooler. Doesn't have the prestige of Yeti, but I paid about half the price of the comparable Yeti, and I actually prefer Pelican's latching mechanism and handle design. I used it 13 days last year.)

So you're agreeing with him that the Yeti products are particularly overhyped and brandy? Cool lol

Except a Ferrari has insane amounts of R&D and innovation, so you're either supporting his notion or entirely wrong, or both.

Heads up, the Roadie 24 is not bear-resistant like the Roadie 20 is. I guess that's one of the ways they saved weight on the 24.

Just in case you intend to use yours for car camping.

Why do people always thread crap because people want to spend their money on things like Yeti's? If you don't like Yeti's, that's fine but why do you think you posting your negative opinions are going to sway anyone else.

If you don't like Yeti's, move on.

The 24 also doesn't have the metal corners for securing it down if you use a padlock

I don't own a Yeti, but personally I can't stand douchebags that overuse the term "lol"

Newsflash- having a particular brand that represents quality or style is important to some people. There's nothing wrong with that, and even better when you can get an item that you want at a significant discount.

Do you own anything that has a logo on it?

thanks for letting me know; I'll have to rofl this time instead.
Owning something with a logo and buying something for a logo are two different things.

Newsflash- suggesting cheaper alternatives with little to no discernible loss of quality or performance is also important to a lot of people on slickdeals, so getting upset at someone mentioning a similar product in counterproductive (pun intended) for people shopping for coolers.
