They went out of business but this company purchased the Nashbar and Performance name. I do miss the original Nashbar.

back then, I called performance bike when I was new to biking. I must've asked more questions than they wanted to answer. they put notes on my account. after that, anytime I'd call in, I'd get a Karen giving me the worse CS ever. I guess they got what they wanted. Its now 15 years later, I make 10x what I used to make, and spend that much more, and they don't get any of my money.

Do you want to name one of those reputable sellers? I'd buy these off Performance Bicycle vs almost anyone on eBay due to the proliferation of fakes on eBay. Part of the problem is that Shimano (like Garmin) often requires a minimum retail price, and big discounts are hard to come by. So, these eBay sellers, even if they don't intend to sell counterfeits, end up getting duped from their own suppliers. I'm assuming a large bike pats company like Performance Bicycle is probably buying directly from Shimano's USA distributor.

I believe Ultegra pedals are still made in Japan, correct? Did you actually order pedals off of eBay? Do they say Made in Japan? As an aside, the genuine Shimano cleats are selling for about $30, now. So, $109 for Ultegra pedals is like paying only $79 for both pedals, or less than $40 per pedal. That's a great price from a reputable seller.
