True. You dont have to be a member. I took the offer link by searching the UPS My Choice website and it contained the link to Costco Membership. I did not login to UPS My Choice.

The direct link provided by me has some issues. It takes to the regular membership. Better thing would be to click on the "See Deal" link and then go from there. But it surely doesn't require to be a UPS My Choice member.

Thanks, We buy in bulk anyway since sams is 30min or so away.

It would be nice if they could just apply the $30 to the new membership fee. That way joining would only cost $30 instead of $60+.

That would reduce revenues, instead of increasing revenues. As a customer it makes sense, as a business it does not.

do note that Costco does blade tenderizing for the beef in the styrofoam packaging (afaik, the beef in the vacuum sealed packaging isn't blade tenderized. if it's blade tenderized, price label tells you)

I understand and 'on paper' it may seem that way, but in reality it may be the opposite effect.
There's many, even perhaps the majority, of 'not yet costco members' that would still hold off becoming members at the current fee.
While if given the chance for a $30 membership, they would then join and shop at current costco normal merchandise discounts.
