I'm not a tool brand loyalist by any means, this is only my second tool from Milwaukee, and I have had the exact opposite experience. The sanding discs that came with it are garbage, but the sander itself is excellent. I replaced them with Diablo discs and have built/finished several large pieces of furniture. I would highly recommend this sander.

Also, it's hilarious that you feel like it's necessary or appropriate to finish off your post with a comment about politics.
I have both of these and use them both on a regular basis. The fan can move a lot of air and can be plugged in to the wall or use a battery so it's very functional around the shop.

The sander is great but I agree the discs from Milwaukee suck. I use Diablo discs and find them to level the playing field.

Full disclosure though, I'm a fiscal conservative constitutionalist, so take my review with a grain of salt. Only significant moral issue I have a conservative stance on is abortion but I'm not like all or nothing. Oh and guns, I like guns.
I'm a milwaukee loyalists. But this sander is trash. Any other battery operated orbital I've used is better. Which includes ryobi and rigid

Oh, what is that? The reviews seem okay but what was your experience?

Man that last part is making me question my choice in tools!

Kidding aside I'm surprised the sander sucks compared to Rigid considering Milwaukee is supposed to be a notch or several above.

Edit: OP can you put Milwaukee in the title? This is probably missing a few folks' notifications.

I returned it the same day I bought it. It is the first milwaukee tool that made me question what brand tool I was gonna by next time I needed one.

The times I need a sander and don't have an outlet nearby = never..

Times I need a fan outdoors or where no outlet is nearby = seemingly always.

Wonder if you can return the sander alone?
