If I wasn't already neck deep into Ryobi 18v tools, I would have jumped on it.
Other than that, I am hoping someone with more knowledge would comment.

I own a lot of Hitachi stuff and really like it. Every line has their pros and cons but the warranty can't be beat.
All their li-ion batteries (including their 36v multivolt) will work on their 18v line of tools.
