I have the 1st gen 10-piece kit from Costco (paid $180).
Is worth returning and getting the 2nd gen instead: Aside from looks, are there any major differences between the 2?
Ring's website mentions the devices are smaller than the 1st gen but that's about the only difference I could find ..

Are they compatible? Can I have 1 new control station and the old one on bedroom? Are the sensors compatible?

Ring was good before Amazon bought them. Hate it now.
Genuine question... can you elaborate why? The monthly cost is amazingly cheap compared to other companies, and I'm really considering to switch to Ring.

I recently bought a home that has a ring doorbell to installed, a nest camera for above the garage installed, and three nest carbon monoxide detectors installed inside. I would like to get a system that is compatible with Ring, Nest, and Google home. Can anyone suggest what I should be looking at? Not sure how all these systems work and if they are compatible with competitor products. Would appreciate any advice here

Costco is a lot cheaper during their sale. 1st vs 2nd gen differences appear to be cosmetic.

ADT charges me $55/month. It was a no brainer switching to Ring Smilie

It seems one can get a Costco deal + an extra 2nd generation keypad for $50 and still get ahead of this deal.

It seems that one can get Costco deal + extra 2nd generation keypad and still come ahead of this deal. Plus Costco has 2 more contact sensors, which is worth $30. So I find it hard to see advantages of this deal vs costco.

Switched to a Ring Alarm a year ago and have been really happy with it. A no brainer for me to cancel my hardwired alarm since I already had the doorbell and floodlights. $100 a year for all your Ring devices is a deal.

Does anyone know if the new keypad has the screw holes in the same location as the previous keypad?

I wanted to try out the Ring security system but there is no way in hell I was going to put that hideous 1st gen keypad on the wall. I'm glad they changed it and I'll wait until Costco starts carrying this new series. Now if they would finally update the floodlight camera so I can get one of those too...
