Costco Members: $150 Off Set of 4 Michelin Tires (5/20-6/14)

Costco is offering members:
$150 off when you spend $700+ on any set of 4 Michelin tires with installation.
$110 off when you spend up to $699 on any set of 4 Michelin tires with installation.

Note that this is a new deal (previous two deals were $70 off + $0.04 installation and $70 off + $40 off installation). This offer is $150 off the price of the tires with installation at the regular price of $79.96.

You can order online (search by vehicle, license plate, size, or item #) or in-person at the Costco Tire Center at your local Costco Warehouse. I was there a couple days ago and the guy was nice enough to give me a heads up that I should wait until this deal went live on Wednesday.

Costco is fast to get your new tires on, but slow for routine tire rotations. 1-2 hour wait times for tire rotations. They always place a higher emphasis on new tire installations over tire rotations.

I love Costco, and this is a great deal, but man...I had it out with some punk kid installer at our local store preventing me from ever buying tires from them again.

My car has run flats, and I ordered some non-runflat Michelin AS/3's (which are amazing tires BTW- highly recommended). The tires came in and I had a 3:15 appointment. I got there at 3:05 and waited at the front counter until 3:30 for someone to show up. I got checked in, and the dude said "Well, because you're late you're going to be switched to 1st available, and it's going to be a 3-4 hour wait."

I Karen-ed out a bit, but really wanted the tires, so I said FINE and had my wife pick me up.

On the way home, the store called me and said they wouldn't install the tires on my car because they're not OEM spec---the car needs to have runflats. I argued it did not...I have the spare tire kit and had non-run flats installed on my wife's identical car. After some back and forth they refused to install the tires.

I cancelled the order, picked up my car, and went to Sam's Club. Got the same price and everything installed in 90 minutes.

So, that's my tale of woe...thanks for reading Smilie

150 + full price installation?
so the same as 70off + .04 installation.

it is still better than 70off + 40off install, if 700+ tires (175 each)

$20 per tire installation cost is ridiculous. Wish you could just buy the tires at Costco and take to a local shop.

Yes, because it's true. I am a HUGE Costco fan, but everyone considering this deal needs to be aware of this about tire rotations....you will be waiting a LONG time.

Rotate at home if you have a hydarulic jack and a jack stand.

Dang. Got excited for a second. Thought it was $150 off without requiring install. I take care of rotations and maintenance myself at home. I'm a little hesitant having a random Costco employee mounting tires on my $4000 Volk wheels. Anybody have experience with them working with expensive wheels? I guess it also depends on location. I would just bring the wheels in myself to have the tires put on and balanced. Then, I'd bring them home and mount them back on the car myself. Have had bad experiences in the past with tire techs ramming lugnuts down grossly over-torqued with impact wrenches.

Really?? They have the best installation package of anyone, road hazard included, you go in with a damage tire and drive out with a new one for free, your local shop does that for you?? My local GoodYear shop charged me $32. each & $38. for my pickup tires , my Audi dealer charges $47.50 each (!) what would your local shop charge after you drive your tires from Costco to them?

But what if you only have harbor freight jacks at home

You save few $$$ but service is SH*IT after you get your tires. Look at the reviews for most Costco Tire Centers. In the 2 to 3 range Smilie Ask me how I know. I will never buy tires from Costco EVER again. eFFF them

Its pro-rated based on the tread, we had a 1 month old tire get a flat and still have to pay out of pocket because there was some tread worn.

I had a flat last Dec. Went to Costco, and they REFUSED to honor their warranty since my membership had expired. So, I HAD to buy a new membership to get them to fix my tire, That is a crappy policy IMHO.
