You will need to install the GOG launcher and start to install GWENT. Once it starts downloading you can go back to the page to claim The Witcher for free. You can cancel the GWENT download.
I played this many years ago on PC. I never got too far in it--it was very janky. The combat, dialogue, exploration were all unique but only okay. It is more janky than Witcher 2, which is in turn more janky than Witcher 3 (Witcher 3 being an absolute masterpiece).
All of this is to say, Witcher 1 has not aged well, especially if you have played the third game. It is interesting to see how the series has evolved, though.

Clicked through to Witcher to add to cart (section titled: But wait, there's more"). Shows $0.00 at checkout.
Received email confirmation of free items added to library for both Gwent and Witcher.

So if someone hasn't played any of these, you would recommend watching the story of first two on YouTube, and just starting the third? Is it a continuing story? Or can I just ignore first two?
My dream would be for some sort of re-master of 1 and 2 into the TW3 engine.
