Have been in the market for battery lawn mower and this came across. Its got very good reviews. I was between this and a self propelled 56v Ego, been watching prices now for the last month. It's currently on sale at $100 off regular price and there's an additional 20% code (applies even though it says not valid on promotional items). Original price $499

Have this, got it last summer at about $200 at a local Lowes, very quiet and gets the job done with no issues. I don't use the self propeller so I can get a half an acre cut on a single charge. If I used the self propeller, I'd probably limit that to a quarter acre? I have other 2Ah batteries from the other 60V line tools I own (hedge trimmer, edger, blower) and I use those on the mower if I need to while the 5Ah charges for another use.

I have a tiny front lawn and my backyard is mulch/drought resistant but just wanted a nice lawnmower that would last me through my next move when I might have more grass. Pulled the trigger. Everything I've looked at so far has been 20-40v with a 13-16" blade so I know this is overkill but what a deal. My total was $319.20. No tax. Free shipping. Comes with 4 year tool warranty and 2 year battery warranty.

I heard from somewhere that the batteries are interchangeable between EGO and greenworks. Is there any truth to that?

Have the non-propelled version and love it. Wanted a battery mower when we got a new house. Settled on this one and have been very happy. Bought in to the 60v line with the trimmer and blower, so yard work is just popping the battery from one tool to the next. I have a 5ah and 2.5ah and can tackle .25ac, even with wet or thick grass.

Got the SP version for my dad for the holidays last year (when Lowe's clearanced the older model for $180). He loves it and likely convinced his neighbor to get one also.

My guess is no. These are 60v batteries and Ego runs on 56v.

You can use Kobalt batteries (so long as they match voltage) but you have to alter the plastic battery housing (likely voiding any warranty). YouTube will show you how.

Greenworks OEM some other brands like MasterForce and Kobalt but not EGO.

Excellent mower. I returned it last year to jump on the $200 Craftsman v60 but nonetheless this is a great mower. Just a heads-up, if you have thick turf this will leave mohawks if you mow at a high height. My Craftsman has this problem as well and I've heard EGO also has the same issue.

I recently bought the Ryobi 40v push mower bought at $279 from HD, but in the market for a self propelled one. Will return the Ryobi one.
Does any one know if there would be better deals for a battery powered self propelled ones? Just asking if you guys are aware of the general prices for this kind of models.
Looks like a solid deal to me from what i have seen recently.

Does anyone know if this is the dual-blade version or the single-blade model?
I read that the dual-blade one will leave uneven mohawks like what the poster above said.
