Back in stock for ship and local pickup. Also have the free oscillating tool or right angle drill kits for the same price. Ratchet is non-fuel FYI

i actually came here to say just that. as a weekend warrior with working on cars/atvs/mowers and other fun stuff, a cordless ratchet has been a game changer. like, holy hell game changer. things go 5x as fast, even if im in a spot with free ratchet movement. if i have a long bolt to remove? bzzzzzz, done. 5 seconds vs a minute of spinning a socket. if i get to a spot where i can only move a ratchet a short ways? this thing could shave an hour off of a normally 2 hour job. i can honestly say its the biggest "holy crap life is so much easier now" tool that ive bought since my first impact driver. (remember using cordless drills to drive screws?) lol.

i actually got the non fuel version though. slower, but still amazing.
This ratchet is the real deal. I can't believe I waited this long to get one.
If you have the 10% cash back promo on one of your chase cards, you can get the same set from zoro.com for a bit cheaper.

https://www.zoro.com/milwaukee-co.../G7650498/

for me:
Subtotal $206.81
Shipping FREE
Tax $17.06
Order Total $223.87

It seems like they only give 10% back on the pre-tax amount so I should get about $20.07 back through chase rewards so basically helps pay for the tax. Got the confirmation email from zoro and chase shortly after placing the order.

I have these and I have an 18V Ryobi.

I prefer these for 95% of my tasks.
Same here.

I love the Ryobi for their prices and wide variety of tools, but I reach for the m12 impact drivers and drills more often. The m12 system is powerful enough for most tasks and the tools are much lighter and smaller.

Ryobi's tool selection is unrivaled though. I started my tool collection with Milwaukee M18 and M12 tools, but I quickly abandoned the M18 system for the Ryobi.

I have an 18v drill currently that's quite aged. Is a 12v good enough for most home tasks? Ie drill fatter screws into studs

There are two other kits worth considering as well

Drill + Impact Driver + HACKZALL + Ratchet [homedepot.com]for $200. This is not the hammer drill and not brushless Fuel version, but you get the extra hackzall. I think this may be a little more useful if you're starting off a tool collection with the hackzall unless you know you will definitely use the hammer drill function to drill into concrete, mortar, and brick.

Compact band saw + ratchet [homedepot.com]for $220. If you already have drill and driver, this compact band saw looks interesting.

This drill is strong enough that I have used it with a 1-1/4" paddle bit, but it probably can't handle too much more than that.

The impact driver though is very powerful. It beats out other 18v impacts from just a few years ago. I've done 8" timberlocks screws with the Gen1, and this Gen1 is even more powerful.

Depending how old your current drill is, you might see a decent increase in power even though it's 12v.

Would the ratchet be sufficient to work on brakes? How is the ratchet compared to the right angle impact wrench?

I have that (not Fuel) drill and it's ok for most things. Fairly bulky for a 12v though.

The non-Fuel impact driver was very lackluster. I sold that almost immediately and bought the Fuel. If your use of the impact will be VERY occasional, this set is good for the extra tools, but otherwise I'd recommend going for the Fuel.

Ratchet doesn't have any impacting functions and is only rated up to 35ft-lbs, so its probably not going to break loose any rusted brake bolts. It's mainly there to spin off stuff for you once it's loose, or working on clean fasteners.

I bought the set with the right angle drill since I don't work on cars, but starting to wonder if I should cancel and go with the ratchet and maybe keep or sell it.

I plan on redoing some plumbing and electrical on my house and thought the right angle drill would come in handy.

Any thoughts on if the right angle drill is really needed? Is the drill/driver small enough to fit in between joists and studs with drill bits?
I just used the right angle drill on a wiring project and found it to be under powered, even with the Red XC 6.0 battery. It'll get the job done, but expect to spend some time on the project. As for the drill fitting between studs and joists - are you planning to use it on an open wall or work from holes/cavities?
The drill will definitely be awkward to use in a cut hole.. you'll need a 10-12 inch gap just to fit it and your hand in there.

The ratchet is very low torque so it's a very different use case from the impact wrench.

Good thing about the ratchet is that you can use it like a regular non-electric ratchet to break loose a not rusted/not high torque bolt then use the electric motor to spin the rest of the way.

Both impact wrench and the electric ratchet are very useful and worth having.

Most of the work will be done on open walls and ceilings, but there may be some spots where I have to work between the joists in the gap above the foundation wall. So, it sounds like the right angle might be helpful there, but it's disappointing to hear about the lack of power. Tough decision.

Having trouble figuring out if I need this ratchet or not. Want to work on the car for simple tire rotations etc, but couldn't you use the impact driver for that?
