I agree with you; to me they look rounded (which is better for kids' use). But the Amazon description says "pointed." Still a slick deal! Smilie

The 2 pack is ideal for scissor races and the blunt tips are better for younger, less experienced runners.

Judging by the pictures, OP version is more rounded, like a Popsicle stick. The $1.88 version is more pointed (mimicking adult scissors) and is still in stock.
