UPDATE: Still available, now in stock on June 12th.

------------------------
Original Posting:

Back in stock 5/31.

Not to re-start rice wars, but this is available again soon for those who are seeking solid quality basmati and are not near a Costco etc with basmati in stock, or who don't want to haul it home. Yes, there are more expensive, fancier and better tasting alternatives. Sharing this as it was popular with SD'ers who appreciated the non-marked up, in stock with a decent shipping date, free shipping with prime or over $35 order aspects.

Save more if AMEX or Discover offers are available (using 1 point, of course), which makes it slicker than other locations (used this myself previously, AMEX 30% made it $10.69/bag shipped)

Cheers and good health to all.

Great price. Finally it is stock on Amazon without third parties. The other day I got BJ's membership just to order this rice.

That's in-store price, which can't be beater but on costco.com 20lb bag is $20.99 plus shipping if order is less than $75.

The costco one was not available for delivery for my ZIP. The rice I have is about to finish, so I signed up for BJ's $25 one year offer.

Yes this is considered a good brand I've used this rice in the past and it was pretty good. To sell the brand value: it was (not sure if it still is) advertised by Amitabh Bacchan (an Indian celebrity) for quite some time.

Once upon a time I bought a 20lb bag of some basmati at Costco, and it was super tasty (can't remember the brand). When I tried Royal basmati afterwards it was kind of blant. But good to know it's still considered a quality ptoduct.

I currently have a bag of this brand and it's not very fragrant or flavorful. It's fine, but nothing special.

Brand wise its good but it doesn't have the flavor of typical basmati for what basmati is famous. Its kind of very good quality rice.but truely I didn't get that flavor in couple other high priced brand as well I tried.
