seems a little pricey... works out to roughly $200 for the x470 mobo :/ Still a really good mobo though.

seems like alot of sub par newegg deals popping up.

for people in hawaii, amazon has this same deal for only a little more and free shipping. still cheaper than newegg shipping charge to hawaii.

When bought separately, $210 for the Mobo and $280 for the CPU which is $490. Saving $15 dollars with this bundle.

A deal is a deal I guess, but this isn't slick.

What is the better choice - This TaiChi X470 board with AMD 3700X cpu or ASUS X570 Plus board with AMD 3600X cpu?

I'm also looking for a solid AMD mobo. Any recommendations? Do I really have to spend 400 for a good one?

It's only a good mother board if it never fails. My Gigabyte mother board has been running everyday for the last 10 years. I want reliability not no purpose LED lights everywhere. Which board is bulletproof?

Certainly not an ASROCK. Your best bet is still a gigabyte or msi.

not a deal nor slick. not paying $200 for an x470 mobo, we can get a x570 for the same price or less.

Also 3300x or 3600 is enough for 90% of the people, yes even when streaming 3600 is enough. if you need more than 6c/12 then you must be doing some VM or multithreaded work, 10 open porn browsers is NOT considered multhreaded work.

The solid combo does not exist right now since most "value" boards are sold out. Just hold onto your cash for 45 days and get b550 plus 3600x. For boards i would look into the msi carbon or tomahawk line, or gigabytes AORUS PRO or AORUS ultra.

If they're priced anything like the B450s, should be able to get something pretty nice for $150.

From a performance perspective, the X470 board w/ the 3700X will give you much more than a X570 w/ 3600X, though that's if you're actually running things that will utilize the extra cores. I have this exact Taichi X470 board paired with a Ryzen 9 3900x for CAD and encoding, and it's rock solid.

Especially now that AMD is stating [anandtech.com] they will somehow make Zen 3 work on X470 and B450 boards, I would still argue that X470 is worth considering over X570 boards. There is still a significant price premium for X570 motherboards. Yes, there are X570 boards that are the same price or cheaper than this one, but those would be the lower tier X570 boards compared to this top of the line X470 board. The X570 version of the Taichi board is currently averaging about $290.

That said, this isn't that great of a price for this combo. This board was down to $180 or so in late March just after I purchased. It's a great board, just not that slick of a deal.

Strongly disagree - Asrock has proven to be a reliable brand and has built a solid reputation. Thousands of reviewers have given positive reviews and they have become the #2 motherboard company in a relatively short time.

The Asrock b450m pro4 comes in and out of stock and is a solid board with higher end features for around $70. Works with the new 3000 series chips as well. Just used it in a new build and it is a solid board with all the necessary connections, plenty of RAM capability, and has held up well to several stress tests.
