I know a lot of people with variants of this. They're decent for getting around and can go up mild hills with not much issue if they're 350w like this one. The batteries and motors in this style are generally all the same standard generic ones and are reasonably reliable and cheap to replace.
Not as nice to ride as a regular ebike/moped but certainly practical and cheaper. This is a fairly standard price.
Perhaps not "need" from a legal perspective. But I'd never ride one of these on a road with cars without a helmet. I've taken a few low-speed falls off my bike and believe me, you wouldn't want your head to hit the pavement and look like the helmet did.

Anyone has any experience with this model?
Pros: Fast, battery lasts a long time, easy to assemble
Cons: The seat is absolutely awful. Riding for more than a few minutes will ruin your bottom.
Mine was $100 at Walmart clearance

I think you don't have to get a new bike for each movie return 😎

i can't imagine wanting an assist folder weighing nearly twice as much.
so either get a light folder, or get power assist, getting both is pointless.
Pretty woeful range and speed compared to the advertised. I am also 200lb and get the fully advertised speed 19mph from my Ninebot scooter.
