Lemon Juice mildly dissolves battery leakage. Not completely but enough to remove an old battery or clean the connection port for a new one
Common uses for this size of battery include some small flashlights, radio pocket pager receivers, remote control door chimes, glucose meters, small desk clocks, wireless microphones, laser pointers, some vintage calculators, some slot cars, and film cameras. However, as technology has improved, many of these devices now run on button batteries.
An N-cell battery has a similar size to the A23 battery, which has a 12 V output.

One of my flashlights was ruined by the Duracell battery that leaked and got fused to the inside of the flashlight casing.

The flashlight might've survived but I could not get the battery out.

Thanks for the tip. I just checked and I do still have the flashlight. Although, I also now have much better flashlights.

If you have a Vector robot from Anki these are the batteries needed for Vector's cube.
